"I was one of the first students to enroll in the Sisler Cyber Academy courses in the 11th grade, when the CCNA courses were initially offered. While taking the courses, I was also competing in IT/cyber security competitions, such as Cyber Patriot, Cisco NetRiders, Skills Manitoba, and Skills Canada. Competing in such cyber security competitions fueled my interest in this already exciting field. I achieved my CCNA certifications days before my high school graduation, and that allowed me to bypass the first 2 years of Red River College, and allowed me to enroll in the CCNP Program offered, which was a 3rd year program. Upon graduation from there, I was able to start in my career field right away, and 11 years later, I am now a Senior Security Engineer @ Mozilla. This career field was made achievable by starting my path early on in the Sisler Cyber Academy."

"I came into the Sisler Cyber Academy without a plan. Honestly, I was more nervous than anything unsure of what I was capable of and not sure of what came next. The Cyber Academy wasn't something I walked into with confidence. Over time, the course taught me many things, and slowly it showed me that I really had a passion for Cybersecurity.
What changed things wasn't one big moment. It was the idea of all the small moments like figuring out a problem in a lab, working with classmates who helped you, and realizing that the people around you were going through the same uncertainty and pushing through it anyway. Early on, being one of the only girls in some of my cyber classes made me question if cybersecurity was really the right path for me.
